Spring 2025 STA Super 6 & 7

STA, in conjunction with Mount Olive Soccer Club, are pleased to offer a FREE program for Girls and Boys of select ages as an introduction to the beautiful game of soccer.

During the STA practices, players are taught fundamental soccer skills and then put into small sided (2v2, 3v3, 4v4) games to find their own way to use them on the field. While traditional recreation programs play 6v6 or 8v8, fewer players on the field ensures each player gets more touches on the ball, and plays a bigger part of the game. Coaches will follow a curriculum, so players are learning new skills each week within small sided games. With a player centered environment, coaches allow players the opportunity to experiment, try things, and make their own decisions.

Games are played on Saturday mornings.

All our staff are qualified soccer professionals, experienced in working with these age groups.

Spring 2025 Instructional Program

The instructional program is not a competitive program. There are no standings and every effort will be made to teach the children the game of soccer, playing fair, and having a good time. Having fun is the top priority. Players will play a variety of positions. All players should play at least half of the game or an equal amount of time unless injured or in violation of the rules. The program takes place weekly on Saturday mornings and in some cases on one weeknight as well. Games are played on fields appropriately sized for each age group and are played largely at Turkey Brook Park. Teams are coached by Volunteer Parent Coaches who have obtained their "F" license in coaching, and are trained by professional coaches as well.

The following fees apply for the Instructional Program:
 
  • $150 regular registration fee (plus a $12.50 town field fee)
  • $85 Prek & K (plus $12.50 town field fee) 
  • $33.50 fee for a new style reversible uniform jersey (all participants must have the new style reversible club jersey) - (Mandatory if new jersey wasn't purchased for fall 2024 season). We are switched to a new vendor, thus everyone needs to purchase a new Jersey.
Please register sooner rather than later. This will greatly assist us in forming teams in a more timely manner!
Register by January 31st for $25 Early Bird Discount! (Only applies to Div. 6, 5, & 4)
Late Fee of $50 begins on Feburary 1st.
We also offer multi-family discounts for all of our programs which are automatically applied during your registration process.

Instructional Divisions

☐ Super 6/7 = K & 1st Grade
☐ Division 6 = 2nd & 3rd Grade
☐ Division 5 = 4th & 5th Grade
☐ Division 4 = 6th, 7th & 8th Grade

Pre-K & K

☐ Our Pre-K & K Division plays ONCE A WEEK – EVERY SATURDAY Morning @ Turkey Brook Park approx. 9 am START Time. MOSC will notify all parents of exact start times approx. 1 week before the season starts.
☐ Each Saturday session runs 1 HOUR
☐ There are NO Practices during the week.
☐ Pre-K & K Saturday sessions are run by our Certified Pre-K Kickers Trainers. Parents are encouraged to help our trainers (help children with encouragement, tie cleats etc.)
☐ Our Certified Trainers will introduce soccer and have the children play fun group activities that start to develop their soccer skills.
☐ SHIN GUARDS are MANDATORY – Soccer Cleats are recommended.
